I’ve been participating in Haikuesday/Haiku Tuesday over on Instagram for the past several weeks, and I’d love to do it here as well! This week I chose a spinning theme:
“My spinning wheel makes
Tiny stomps of resistance
Against convenience.”
I spin on a fourth-hand Ashford traditional I bought from a friend’s co-worker’s wife last spring. I still have a lot to learn, but it really is a great meditative activity. Fraught with frustrations, sometimes, as I adjust to using different types of fiber. My first experience with some pretty blue angora early on was a complete nightmare!
